Kids Musical Theatre Dance with Jeanne Simpson
Monday | 3:00-4:00PM | 9/17 – 10/5 | 8 Classes | $125
Ages: 7-10 years old
Kids will have a blast working on dances from Broadway musicals as well as learning basic dance steps and dance language. Jeanne is a highly positive and loving instructor that will leave your kids feeling confident and inspired.
Intro to Animation with John Eddings
Tuesday | 4:00PM-5:00PM | 9/11 – 10/16 | 6 Classes | $125

A six-week sessions where students will explore the basic techniques of animation as well as offering hands-on experience of creating various animation pieces – flip books, character drawings, stop-motion projects, pixelation and more.
Comedy & Improv I with Paula Newman
Thursday |3:00PM-4:00PM | 9/6 – 10/11 | 6 Classes | $110
Grades: 2nd – 5th
Perhaps your child is always cracking jokes or is a bit shy a needs a little more encouragement to come out of their shell? This is the perfect home: warm up improv games followed by behind the mic techniques with the option to create their own mic time (be it story telling, their own jokes or classic jokes) – all are welcome to attend. The class consists of confidence building techniques, joke formatting, microphone etiquette, creating an intro for yourself, finding your voice and developing your individual stage charm. The final class will be a culmination of performances where family and friends are invited to be their supportive audience. Ms. Paula emphasizes the positive aspect of each child’s talents and insists that the class culture is a positive and supportive environment.
Comedy & Improv II with Paula Newman

This class is only for students that have completed level one or attended the summer camp class with Ms. Paula.
Students will work towards creating a full 7 minutes “act” for the final performance (held the last class). Advanced Improv techniques will be practiced as warm ups followed by exercises to discover each students’ “voice behind the mic”. Each student will receive more personal time to create their seven minute performance. The performance can range from jokes, storytelling, impersonations, characters or any approved routine. Space is limited so each student can receive the needed attention to achieve success!
CLAY PLAY Session 2 with Ms. Klace on the Colfax Campus

Come get your hands dirty and learn about the ceramic arts with Colfax’s own – Mrs. Klace! In this class, we will have tons of fun and learn the basics of clay hand building, while adding some new skills for students familiar with basic techniques. Open to 1st through 5th graders who want to get creative.
Ms. Pam’s Jr. Acting Class

An eight-week course filled with improvisation, theatre games, character and text work. Kids explore drama through a diverse and playful dramatic curriculum designed to stimulate their creativity, increase their confidence, and promote connection with classmates in a safe and nurturing environment.

An eight-week course engaging older kids with more advanced improvisation, theatre games, character and text work. Whether your child is new to the acting process or a veteran this program challenges the older student with more in-depth scene and character work.

In two intensive sessions, Ms. Jane will give an overview of vocal fundamentals, and break down the process of learning a song step by step. Using exercises and games involving voice, story, and character, students will gain the tools to transform their future audition and performance experiences from scary and nerve-wracking ones, to fun, joyful and fulfilling ones where they shine at their best!
Story Theatre with Miss Jeanne

An six week class is for children ages 4 1/2 to 6 years old exploring imagination and theatre play. Children will engage in storytelling, improvisation and theatre games all designed to help them socialize, build confidence and share their own unique talents and imagination.
